Giant Christmas Craft Fair! Temp shop closure

I cant believe that it's already that time of year!
Christmas Craft Fairs & Markets galore.

This weekend Tumblestone Handmakery will be vending at the
This market is the biggest one in the whole Fraser Valley with
over 100 vendors, door prizes, raffles and great food - Not one to be missed!!

Entry fee is by donation with a minimum of $1.00

Since set up is the evening of the 2nd on Friday, I will be temporarily closing
up the Etsy shop and re-opening on Sunday evening (Nov 4th) once I
remove all of the sold items from the shop.

A reminder also that if you did not make it on to the Minkie Munkin pre-order list for
Christmas, this event will be your last chance to pick one up... They are
limited edition and the 10 that I am bringing with me to the market are the last 10 that
will ever be available to purchase. They will be at a special event low price of
$25.00 as well - rather than the regular $35.00

If you would like to have a look through the shop before it is raided this
weekend, have a look ~> HERE <~

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend - If you arent local - see if you
can find any craft markets in your area! There are so many wonderful and talented local people
making the perfect Christmas gifts for all - Support your local small business owners, artisans
and crafters this Holiday season :)

My booth at MissionFest!

MissionFest was So much fun!!

This was my 2nd vending experience ever :)
I learned a lot and met a lot of great people, new friends,
new customers and new contacts!

This was my booth set up.

Notice the spoon racks that I revamped in to jewelry displays?
Here's the lil earring holder one:

I decided to keep the earrings on the top left for myself :D
I so rarely keep anything I make and I figured I need to show
off my work! Plus, those fire polished Czech glass beads were
a gift, so I should keep them anyways!

One more photo for kicks.....

I learned a lot doing this booth - I definitely need a bigger piece of fabric
for that dump bin that my pillows are in!
All in all it was a great experience and Im super excited to do it again!

I will be at the Mission Farmers Market for
the next two weeks! Yay!
So Saturday, Aug 25th and Saturday, Sept 1st
that's where I'll be! If you havent seen my awesome stuff
in person, only on screen - you should! Photos really dont do
the jewelry pieces justice, really.

Hope to see you there!

My first vending experience!

Wow!

I was so surprised at the turn out for my first vending
experience. I was super lucky to have the
owner of a local coffee shop walk right up to me and ask if I
would set up a booth on his shop's outdoor
terrace - free of charge - he would even
provide a tent!

I didnt have much notice, almost two weeks,
and since the girl that I work with was off to
Vegas on holidays, I was working 12 hr shifts the
entire week before hand.
Those were some long days stocking up I must say
But was it ever worth it!

I really didnt know what to expect, I
was happy just to get my name out a
bit more locally. I opened at 10am and by 11
I had sold 6 necklaces and 3 pillows!
I started to get worried that I would run out of stock...
but it went well, soooo many of my friends
and fans came to support me, it was great!

Since I didnt want to vend alone for my first shot,
I asked one of my high school besties
from 15 years ago to join me.
I hadnt seen her since then but I dont
know another crafty soul! We had a blast together
catching up and she did well too, she
makes gorgeous baby quilts, receiving
blankets and cloth diapers.
It was her 1st vend as well! She just started her
Facebook fan page, you can show your support
here

It was so busy the entire time that I am sad and
dissapointed to say that I didnt take pictures
of the booth! *Facepalm!
I did get one shot of us IN the booth, you can kind
of see it!

I had so much fun and did so well
that I cant wait to do it again!

I unveiled the rest of the Summer 2012 jewelry
collection and I completely sold out!
Here are a few:

So now that I am back home....
I need to restock! Ive hardly got anything left!

Discover Spring! With two local Artisans - (That's Me!)

I'm super excited to announce that myself and
a fellow crafter are going to be hosting a small
event this coming Saturday, April 28th
at City Blends Coffee Shop
right here in Mission, BC!
10am - 4pm

We are going to have a tented booth with
tons of cash n' carry items and we will both be
taking custom orders as well!
(Have a look at my Facebook page
to see the items available at
the event)

 I will be unveiling
the super gorgeous
Summer 2012 Jewelry Collection
I am really excited about that!
A few days ago, I released 3 pieces online and
they were sold within 10 minutes!
All 3 and from 3 different people!
So that makes me happy and shows me that
this line is going to be successful - It's a good feeling.
Here are photos of the three
from the collection to give an idea of the style

One of my best friends from highschool,
Sabrina Blok from Sab's Creations
will be joining me and showing off her adorable
baby quilts - the photo is an example of one
of them. She loves to do special custom requests
as well!

Go Canucks Go Bebe Quilt
There are going to be 2 contests
to be won and the owner of City Blends is
graciously giving a discount to any of our
booth customers! With a purchase from either
Tumblestone or Sab's Creations, you get 50% off
your coffee or 25% off a specialty drink.
Thank you City Blends!!

We will be accepting Cash, there is a debit machine
super close by and I will also have my Ipad
with me. Since I have a Paypal merchant account
I can accept credit cards (through secure banking online)
and also Paypal funds.

I would love it if you came down, even just to
say hi and view my creations!
I hope to see you there!

Any tips on how to have a successful craft
show or other vending events?
This will be my first, so any advice or
do's & donts would be greatly
appreciated!
