Beautiful Bead Shipment has arrived!!

I have been so excited waiting for a shipment of beautiful beads
to arrive - and today they were here!
Since yesterday I got my shipment of gorgeous hand blackened brass from the
lovely ladies of Fallen Angel Brass and today I got the beads,
I can really get to work making pretties for the Grand Opening Sale
to celebrate the opening of Tumblestone's new Etsy shop :)
(Ant the Farmer's Market of Course!)

A peek at what I got yesterday....

I had next to no chain left and out of headpins and jump rings!
I wont settle for unmatching unless it's meant to be miss matched,
so when this came yesterday I was SO excited!
These are my necessities right here!
I love the Fallen Angel patina, it really is unmatched with anything I've
ever come across.

And then today....
I truly am so impressed with these beads.
They came from Arte Bella Surplus <~ Her Etsy!

They take my breath away! My photos arent the greatest
but you get the idea!
(Pretty pic heavy!)

The silverclear beads look as if water droplets have been frozen in time!
And those Carribean blue beads - to die for!

Look at those BIG cherry bon bon faceted beads in the upper right!

The beads on the left were a Thank You gift for the order  :)

LOVE the beads on the top left there! (All of them really...) Those drops are the exact shade of Suicide Creek, a local glacial runoff swimming area.

Oh I am so happy with my order!!

Now I must get to work designing and creating pretties!
I've been on a sewing kick the past week since I was out of my
Fallen Angel Brass - Here's a little peek at a few of my newer creations...

enjoy!

I'm off to create!

My Bed Soup ingredients arrived!!

WOW!!!

I'm so stoked!!!
My Bead Soup ingredients have finally
arrived! It was a long trip from the UK to Canada.
I was starting to get a bit worried but figured,
I moved in to a new house 2 days ago
so I would'nt be able to touch them yet anyways.

What a pretty card she sent as well!
She did a great job at going out of my element,
Since I havent dove very far in to jewelry design
quite yet I havent worked with a lot, I have yet to make
a necklace that isnt hand blackened brass.

These ingredients are so yummy looking,
I have an idea or two swirling about but I'm
going to let them & my brain simmer a bit before I
decide exactly what I'm going to do.

My partner is Debbie Price and her
If you havent gone to check out her blog yet,
you're missing out!

As a recap in case you havent seen it,

Bead Soup! - What I sent my partner

I am so stoked about the

My partner, the lovely Debbie Price of
has received the yummy Bead Soup that
I sent her. I am oh so excited to see what she does
with it!! I chose to go with earthy tones, I
dont have much of a stash so I shopped for the
soup just for her. These beads spoke to me
and wanted to make a new life on the other
side of the world in the UK!!

This is what I sent her:

I feel bad because just a couple of days ago
I realized that the grey clover bead didnt make it in
with the rest! I am moving to a new home
this weekend and when I lifted up my drawer unit
it was hiding underneath - I guess he was afraid to fly!!

I am nervous because I still havent received my soup...
Not that I could play with it yet anyhow - everything
is packed up and ready to move!
I really do hope it comes Friday, then
I wont have to worry about it all weekend!!

I'm so excited to move - and have a studio double
the size! With its own sliding doors to the yard :)
I'm going to be more organized at the new place - I swear...

Anyways, I hope you all love the ingredients
that I chose for Debbie's Soup, I will post photos
of mine as soon as the ingredients arrive!

~~*Sending inspirational creative vibes to all my fellow Soupers*~~

I found some amazing beads!!

I just had to share with you all
what came in to my mailbox today!
I have recently fell in love with the beautiful
sheen and colors of the Picasso style Czech glass
beads that I came across while surfing through Etsy.

I came across some beautiful beads at
Avedis Beads based in Australia.
Have a look at these beauties!!
I knew I had to have some of these.

Arent they to die for?!
I knew I had to have some.
Also, they will go so perfectly with the hand
blackened brass that I love to use so much.

When I opened the package, I saw an extra
bag with a bunch of gift beads with a card saying
"Thank you for choosing Avedis Beads"  :)
I loved how all of the extra beads (18 of them!) came in pairs
so that I could make a few pairs of
gorgeous earrings or a necklace with what they gifted me, so
that was nice! Also, a few of the extra bead pairs
I love so much that I will be ordering them next time around.

And for a photo of what I got in my order:

They even had some nice chain as well.
The colors are so vivid and beautiful.

Avedis Beads has absolutely no idea that I have written this blog
post. This is not at all a paid review nor do they have
any idea that I even have a blog at all. I'm going to tell them though
and let them know how happy I am with their beads!

Thank you Avedis Beads!
You have won another happy customer :)

Sneak Peek....!

So.......
I have a super hard time keeping presents a secret,
Christmas time is bittersweet, having to
wait and not give recipients their gifts but it's oh so
awesome when they finally get to open them!!

I thought that I would give you all
a sneak peek of the Bead Soup that I sent
to my wonderful partner Debbie Price of

I think it will help with the next to
unbearable excitement about the whole

So here they are!
The beautiful beads and bobs that I chose for
Deb, I really hope that she loves them, after
this is over and when I have the extra time, I would
LOVE to work with all that I sent her.
I dont have much of a stash at all to be honest, so I went
shopping and bought her exactly what I would have
chosen to work with myself.

So without further adieu....

Yay!!!
That was fun!
Hahaha! A bit of a hint for you :)
I really hop that they get there soon,
Canada to the UK....
I'm crossing my fingers & toes that they will
be in her mailbox even tomorrow!!!

Bead Soup Blog Partay!! A challenge awaits....

I'm all signed up for the
Bead Soup Blog Party and am super stoked about it!
Usually this party is done by lottery but this
time anyone is welcome to sign up, making
it a pretty large event!!
Sign ups are now over and the list is up -
a whopping 397 talented artists have signed
up for this super fun swap!
And 4 of them are Danas!! :)

If you dont know how it works, it goes like this:
Lori, from the blog Pretty Things will pair me up with
someone. I'll go look through
my partner's blog, shop and/or facebook
to have a look at what type of jewelry style that she creates.
From that knowledge, I will try to challenge my partner by
sending her a bead soup of a completely different
style than her usual creations.
She will do the same for me, it's meant to challenge
each other to use different styles and techniques than
we are used to.

The bead soup needs to consist of:
A focal
Coordinating spacers or beads
and a special clasp that cant just be a plain lobster claw.

I'm super stoked! I have a couple of bead soups here
that Ive put together for my partner and depending
on what style she is, she may get one or the other,
or maybe even a mixture - we'll see!

Grand Opening / 800 Fan Celebration Sale!!

Wow! I am super excited to find 800 Facebook fans on my Tumblestone Facebook page when I woke up a couple of days ago!  In celebration of this AND the fact that I have just opened Tumblestone's online StorEnvy shop, ALL jewelry, mosaic/mixed media art photo frames & mirrors are 25% off!  (If you purchase off of the actual Tumblestone online store, be sure to use the code DANDYGRANDY at checkout to get the 25% off!)
I already had this post here.... Below the last one! I dont know where it dissapeared to.. So I'm doing a short repost because I like the picture!

Through my Tumblestone Facebook page, there are quite a few things that you cant find in the StorEnvy shop....
such as previously sold items, custom sewing jobs I have made for customers and MANY pillows ....
I make goofy ones, such as big moustache shaped to trendy and beautiful upcycled cable knit sweater pillows!
I dont have them up for sale on StorEnvy, because I really am not sure about shipping charges yet. However, after seeing them, if you MUST have one (they are top sellers for me!), I will find out what the shipping charge would be for you and we can work something out that way!
I have shipped them before. Unfortunately Canada doesnt have flat rate like the US, so its not as easy to guesstimate shipping charges, especially for such an item such as pillows and stuffed animals and monsters!

I am always up for custom orders as well, if there is something you want, or have in mind but you dont see it anywhere within the Tumblestone universe - just ask!!
I have made countless custom items and get custom orders all the time.
I love the strange requests I get.... it's fun! I'm so easygoing, I'm open to make anything that you have in mind if it is possible to make in my skill set!!

So go check out that awesome Facebook page o' mine! There's also a link on the right upper side of the blog as well! Also - do you have a Facebook fan page for your business? Leave it here in the comments and I will go "like" yours in return!

Cheers!

Tumblestone's StorEnvy shop NOW OPEN!!

I am super stoked to announce the grand opening of Tumblestone's new StorEnvy shop, which has now been added to the StorEnvy Marketplace!!

As you can see up there in the tabs (pages) there is a new one that says "Shop Tumblestone!"
That link will magically transport you directly to the new shop over in the StorEnvy Marketplace.

In celebration of the Grand Opening of Tumblestone's new online store AND the fact that I woke up the other day to a whopping 800 fans on Facebook, I have put ~ALL~ items in the shop on sale for 25% off!! The 25% off will automatically be taken off of the price in the checkout using the code DANDYGRANDY Woooooot! Details are in the post below.

I'm not the best with code, so for the time being I am using the standard store template, but once I teach myself and have a lil extra time ~ Im confident that the store is gonna look AMAZING!

~ So please, go have a look and tell me what you think! What's your favorite item? I would love your feedback!~

2 new necklaces handmade by me!

I just wanted to show you the 2 new creations Im about to add to the shop. I'm really excited about these two jewelry pieces! For awhile there, I was making my jewelry highly detailed with so many elements to it  - not that it didnt look good, I love EVERY single one! But this time I decided to create something a little simpler - and I just adore how they turned out! Here is my write up about the necklace above:

"This lovely necklace features a cluster that includes an inch long cobalt blue glass bead, a vertibrae bone from an unknown source and a round faceted brown bead that shimmers blue in the light which is capped with a blackened brass filigree flower.
Above, connected by a large brass circle, is a hand blackened brass detailed bee - actually - he more looks like a fly doesnt he?! He is a 3 point connection to the flat cable chain that leads to the lobster clasp closure.

This necklace is one of a kind and will not be making another one the same to guarantee that.
However if you miss out and REALLY liked it, I will make similar!

All of the brass that I use is guaranteed nickel and lead free and is supplied by Fallen Angel Brass Co in New England, USA.

The second one is just as pretty! I really dont know which one I like better - I love them both so much! Here is my write up for this pretty one:

This cluster necklace holds a blackened brass key, a chunk of genuine turquoise, a lil' shell and a brown faceted glass bead that shimmers blue in the shining light.
A large brass circle connects the cluster to the flat cable chain where on one side a swallow in flight sits right on the collarbone.
This piece closes with a lobster clasp.

Arent they purdy? The hardest part for me doing this is having to sell them and then they are gone.... lol, I cant keep them all! But I guess knowing that they are making someone else happy is worth it in the end!

Thanks for looking!!
